Alpha Xi Delta Foundation Celebrates Success of 125th Campaign

Alpha Xi Delta Foundation is proud to announce the early success of its historic 125th Anniversary Campaign. With a goal of $1.25 million, the 125th Anniversary Campaign is designed to help fund the development of strong Alpha Xi Delta leaders for years to come. The largest fundraising effort in our Foundation’s history, the comprehensive campaign spans June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2019.

Thanks to the extraordinary enthusiasm and generosity of alumnae and friends, the 125th Anniversary Campaign has raised $1,557,071 in gifts and pledges as of July 31, 2018.

Foundation Chair Michelle Hartnett said, “The 125th Anniversary Campaign is a really important historic milestone for Alpha Xi Delta and Alpha Xi Delta Foundation. There’s an old adage about planting trees not that you may enjoy the shade those trees will throw off but that you are doing it for future generations – women you will never know, women not born yet. That’s an important thing the Foundation is doing – planting trees for future generations of members.”

Though the goal has been met, 10 months remain in the Campaign. During this time, all gifts will continue to count toward the Campaign total. As the Fraternity has grown, the increased need for quality programming has grown as well, so let’s see how far we can take this Campaign. A key focus of the Campaign is to establish a fund that will allow the Fraternity to support The Founders’ Academy, the premier summer educational opportunity for Chapter Presidents and emerging leaders. Drawing on Alpha Xi Delta’s commitment to members’ strengths, TFA focuses on the development and application of StrengthsQuest principles for individual and organizational leadership. Our goal is to keep TFA affordable for our chapters. As the TFA funds grow, the Foundation grant to the Fraternity grows and reduces the cost to the chapter.

Today, the Foundation is announcing a new matching opportunity. Thanks to unrestricted funds available from a bequest gift, the Foundation is now able to match every new dollar raised for The Founders’ Academy, up to $125,000. The Foundation Trustees hope this matching opportunity will keep the momentum going and encourage new donors and additional gifts to TFA during the final months of the Campaign.
