Amanda's Story

I would not be where I am today without Alpha Xi Delta. From the moment I joined, I felt the love, support, and encouragement of my Sisters in everything that I did. My big Sister encouraged me to apply to be a New Member Orientation Chair, even though I hadn't had any large positions. My senior year the visiting Educational Leadership Consultant, Allison Zackaroff, thought I'd also be a great ELC and told me to apply. 

With much surprise, I became an Educational Leadership Consultant and made some of the best friends I could ask for while traveling the country. After traveling for the Fraternity, I have been able to volunteer and meet some amazing Alpha Xi Delta women. The saying goes in sorority land "it's not four years, it's for life" and I can definitely attest to that. Even if I don't talk to a Sister every day, Alpha Xi Delta has taught me to be the strong and caring person I am today, and I will forever be thankful for that.
